Then the female within the group whos father was killed is quoted saying "it is not about the money, it's about pay back"
They are then successful with retrieving the gold back and the female then punches the 'snake' in his face in a rather masculine way and the group laugh about it happily as a result of the outcome of them getting the gold back.
The Italian Job film and be very influential to our heist film in a couple of ways:
1. It has action-packed scenes which grab the audiences attention and keeps them informed and entertained about what is happening in the film and this can influence my group for our film as we can be awarded extra marks for keeping the audience engaged. What I like about the action-packed scenes such as when one group are trying to retrieve the Gold stolen from the other group is that their is no dialogue within these scenes but tension building music which clearly shows to the audience what is going on and it is very effective.
2. Their are a team who are on a mission to capture the Gold that has been stolen and the group consists of a female Character who takes up the role of being quite strong minded and very masculine. This is supported by the quote she says "it's not about the money, but it's about the payback" which is effective and gets the audience thinking as this would genuinely be expected to be said by a man who dominates the group but here we see that's not the case. This can influence our group's piece of work as we can explore in real depth the gender within our group and use them in a way that the audience will notice them but not how society would normally perceive them which can also engage the audience.
3. The film also had a sense of shock and surprise as the audience would never of thought that they would ever be betrayed in such a way from a person they trusted to do such a high risk job. This is something I liked and thought was effective as it brought a real twist to the movie and created a sense of anticipation for what will happen next. This can help my group as we can now try and emulate something along these lines to get the audience thinking and get them intrigued with the short piece that they will watch.
Well done for doing the research !
